The HR Generalist at WhiteWater Express oversees and directs HR functions, focusing on employee relations, engagement programs, compliance, benefits administration, and policy management. This role includes managing a team of 2-3 HR Specialists and ensuring all HR activities align with legal standards and organizational objectives. Ideal candidates possess 4-6 years of HR experience and 2-3 years of people leadership, with a strong background in resolving complex employee issues, managing benefits programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance within WhiteWater Express.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (preferred, but not required).
  • 4-6 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on employee relations, benefits administration, policy management, and compliance.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, policy development, benefits administration, and conflict resolution.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills (2-3 years preferred).

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Supervision

Supervise and mentor 2-3 HR Specialists in executing HR functions related to employee relations, benefits, onboarding, and compliance.

Provide guidance and support to ensure team effectiveness and adherence to company policies and legal requirements.

Employee Relations Management

Manage all employee relations, addressing grievances, conflicts, and performance management; partnering with Senior leadership when necessary.

Implement performance improvement plans and support disciplinary actions.

Engagement and Retention

Manage engagement and retention programs; and assist in the development of new programs by bringing a fresh perspective for creation!

Benefits Administration

Oversee employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.

Ensure employees understand and effectively utilize their benefits packages.

Policy and Compliance Oversight

Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and employee handbooks to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Conduct regular audits to monitor adherence to policies and legal standards.

Legal Support and Risk Management

Provide expert guidance on compliance issues and employment laws, mitigating risks associated with HR practices.

Collaborate with legal counsel as needed to resolve complex legal matters related to HR.
