Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Revenue Accountant to join our Finance Team. This role plays a vital part in ensuring accurate revenue reporting, bank and cash reconciliations, and supporting operational excellence across our growing network of locations. You'll work closely with both the finance and operations teams to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile daily revenue, cash receipts, and bank deposits across multiple accounts and locations.
Collaborate with operations and facilities teams to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate financial reporting.
Provide training and support to operations staff on cash handling, purchasing procedures, and administrative processes.
Assist in month-end close activities, including revenue and bank reconciliations.
Reconcile accounts receivable and maintain accurate customer payment records.
Support both internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
Maintain thorough and organized documentation in accordance with internal policies and accepted accounting practices.
Qualifications
Entry-level to 3 years of experience in corporate accounting; experience in retail or multi-location environments is strongly preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred (or 5 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree).
Solid understanding of accrual-based accounting.
Experience with general ledger and bank account reconciliations.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of accounting platforms such as Sage, NetSuite, or Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on internal customer service.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
