The HR Generalist at WhiteWater Express oversees and directs HR functions, focusing on payroll processing, employee relations, and safety management. This role includes managing a team of 2-3 HR Specialists and ensuring all HR activities align with legal standards and organizational objectives. Ideal candidates possess 4-6 years of HR experience and 2-3 years of people leadership, with a strong background in resolving complex employee issues, managing benefits programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance within WhiteWater Express.

Qualifications:

  • 4-6 years of progressive HR experience with a focus on employee relations, and payroll processing.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment laws, policy development, benefits administration, and conflict resolution.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (preferred, but not required).

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Supervision

Supervise and mentor a team of 2-3 HR Specialists, guiding them in the effective execution of HR functions, including payroll processing, workers' compensation management, employee relations, and compliance with relevant regulations.

Provide guidance and support to ensure team effectiveness and adherence to company policies and legal requirements.
 

Payroll Processing

Manage and oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to all legal and company standards. Quickly address and resolve any payroll-related issues to maintain high levels of employee trust, satisfaction, and overall workplace morale.

Employee Relations Management

Manage all employee relations, addressing grievances, conflicts, and performance management; partnering with Senior leadership when necessary. Implement performance improvement plans and support disciplinary actions.

Safety Management Experience

Requires knowledge of OSHA regulations and relevant safety standards, experience with incident response and investigations, and conducting employee safety training and ongoing education.

Legal Support and Risk Management

Provide expert guidance on compliance issues and employment laws, mitigating risks associated with HR practices. Collaborate with legal counsel as needed to resolve complex legal matters related to HR.
