Position Overview

The Market Partner is a hands-on, multi-unit operations leader responsible for driving performance across 2–3 locations within an assigned market. This role oversees operational execution, financial results, and people development while serving as the acting General Manager for one designated site. Partnering closely with the Regional and Area Directors, the Market Partner ensures alignment with company standards, builds strong leadership pipelines, and delivers a five-star customer and employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

Operational & Financial Leadership

  • Lead operational, financial, and people strategies across assigned locations, ensuring alignment with company and regional objectives.
  • Maintain full General Manager accountability for one designated site.
  • Analyze and act on key performance indicators, including revenue, labor, controllable expenses, membership growth, customer feedback, and staffing metrics.
  • Identify operational risks and gaps; implement corrective action plans and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ensure site cleanliness, equipment functionality, scheduled maintenance completion, and full compliance with safety and operational standards.

People Leadership & Development

  • Provide direct leadership, coaching, and accountability to site-level managers and team members.
  • Recruit, develop, mentor, and retain high-performing leaders while building a strong bench for future advancement.
  • Support employee engagement and retention through effective hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, payroll oversight, and performance management.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and customer-focused culture grounded in the company pillars of Respect and Communication.

Sales, Service & Customer Experience

  • Drive sales performance and membership growth through team development and consistent, high-quality customer interactions.
  • Ensure teams are effectively educating customers on products, packages, and membership options.
  • Reinforce service standards and deliver a best-in-class customer and employee experience across all locations.

Collaboration & Strategic Execution

  • Partner closely with the Area Director and Regional Director to execute strategic initiatives and communicate priorities.
  • Collaborate with HR, Safety, Facilities, IT, and other partners to resolve employee relations, safety, and operational issues.
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • 3–5 years of multi-unit operational leadership experience, preferably in retail or fast-casual environments.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management, labor planning, and KPI-driven decision-making.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to balance hands-on leadership with strategic execution in a fast-paced environment.
